United States Environmental Protection Agency Grants and Fellowship Information

Brownfields Program - Brownfield sites are abandoned, idled, or under-used industrial and commercial facilities where expansion or redevelopment is complicated by real or perceived environmental contamination.

Environmental Education Grants Program - The goal of this program is to support environmental education (EE) projects which enhance the public's awareness, knowledge, and skills to make informed and responsible decisions that affect environmental quality.

Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program - The Exchange Network Grant Program provides funding to states, territories, and federally recognized Indian Tribes to support the development of Environmental Information Exchange Network. The Exchange Network is an internet- and standards-based, secure information systems network that supports the electronic collection, exchange, and integration of high-quality data. Funding for the grant program has been provided through annual congressional appropriations for the EPA.

National Center for Environmental Research - grants, fellowships, research associate opportunities and the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program

Clean Water Financing - includes guidance and information about the following programs:

  • Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program
  • Water Pollution Control Program Grants for states
  • Water Quality Cooperative Agreements
  • Clean Water Indian Program Grants

Pollution Prevention (P2) - Grant programs for pollution prevention.

Water: Grants and Funding - Information on national grant programs, including the state revolving funds for drinking water and wastewater, grants for water pollution prevention and wetlands protection, and tribal grants.

Research Funding Opportunities - Upcoming funding opportunities from NCER and the EPA STAR program

Watershed Funding - Committed watershed organizations and state and local governments need adequate resources to achieve the goals of the Clean Water Act and improve our nation's water quality. To support these efforts, the EPA has created this web site to provide tools, databases, and information about sources of funding to practitioners and funders that serve to protect watersheds.
