Mosquito Control Activities in Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is actively working to control mosquitoes that transmit Zika, dengue and chikungunya; however, mosquito populations are increasing and additional methods are needed to control the mosquitos during their adult stage. EPA and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) are working together to help Puerto Rico develop a successful, sustainable approach to controlling mosquitoes that transmit Zika, dengue, chikungunya, and other diseases.
