Public Hearing on Wyoming's Coal Combustion Residuals Permit Program
On August 28, 2025, EPA announced a proposal to approve the application submitted by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality to allow the Wyoming coal combustion residuals permit program to operate in lieu of the federal coal combustion residuals program. In addition to accepting written comments, EPA held a hybrid in-person and online public hearing. The public hearing provided interested persons the opportunity to present information, comments, or views concerning EPA's proposal.
