Civil Rights

  • Office of Civil Rights and Adjudication

OCRA enforces federal civil rights laws that require equal employment opportunity for EPA employees and applicants seeking employment at EPA as well as laws that prohibit discrimination by recipients of federal financial assistance.

EPA's Office of Civil Rights and Adjudication (OCRA) also provides policy guidance and technical assistance to program offices within EPA on civil rights and equal employment opportunity compliance.

NOTE: The enforcement of federal civil rights laws, such as Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, that prohibit discrimination against members of the public by recipients of EPA funds, is the responsibility of OCRA's External Civil Rights Division.

Please be patient as OCRA updates web pages to align with the recent reorganization.  Learn more About OCRA.
