Webinar - States Taking Action to Align Utility Policies with Environment and Energy Goals
State utility regulators are increasingly adjusting and adopting programs to incorporate a broader set of environment and energy goals. Hear from three state regulatory experts who highlighted innovative state and utility policies from California, the Midwest, and Arkansas. Examples included incorporating broader benefit metrics into energy efficiency programs and implementing performance-based utility regulatory frameworks.
This webinar also marked the release of the first round of chapter updates to the Environmental Protection Agency's State Energy and Environment Guide to Action (Guide). Last updated in 2015, the Guide shares best practices based on state experiences to help states design and implement policies that reduce emissions associated with electricity generation and energy consumption. This first round of Guide updates, with more to come, focuses on utility policies.
