Southern California PFAS Remediation Program
Population Served by Project: 4,300,000
Project Type: Drinking Water
Project Description
The PFAS Remediation Program will provide remediation assistance and support to area drinking water purveyors to help them comply with emerging regulatory standards. The program will provide either full-service engineering, design, installation, and financial support for municipalities who do not have such resources in-house or financial-only support for municipalities that do have such resources. The purpose of this program is to fund new wellhead treatment systems designed to reduce and/or remove PFAS from at least 43,000 acre feet per year of groundwater supplies from approximately 15 municipal water purveyors in the Water Replenishment District's service area.
