1. Am I required to participate in this Discharge Monitoring Report – Quality Assurance (DMR-QA) Study?

NPDES Major and select Minor permit holders are required to participate in DMR-QA studies. Be sure to verify the NPDES permit number as indicated in your DMR-QA announcement that was e-mailed by DMRQA@epa.gov, or if a printed copy was mailed to you via U.S. mail, as printed on the address line of the front cover.  

If you believe you received this study in error, contact your state DMR-QA coordinator. Some permit holders are not required to perform the DMR-QA study because they are located in a state that has a laboratory quality assurance program approved by EPA as a substitute for DMR-QA.
