Renewable Natural Gas – Driving Value for the Natural Gas and Biogas Sectors Workshop
Broomfield, Colorado - September 26, 2017

This workshop was hosted in conjunction with the American Gas Association’s 2017 Operations Section Fall Committee Meetings. Renewable natural gas (RNG) is produced when biogas from renewable sources (manure and organics digesters, landfills, wastewater treatment plants) is upgraded to natural gas pipeline quality and received by natural gas utilities for distribution and use by their customers. The primary purpose of this one-day workshop was to further the dialogue and foster partnerships amongst players in the natural gas and biogas industries. Topics discussed at the workshop included:

  • Company case studies
  • Policy and market forces
  • Technologies and services offered by vendors
  • Federal and state-level policies and incentives
  • Upgrade and clean-up technologies
  • Gas quality issues
