Outreach and Events

Facilitating information exchange on cost-effective methane emissions reduction technologies and practices is a core mission of the Natural Gas STAR and Methane Challenge Programs. The Programs host a series of Technology Transfer Workshops, Implementation Workshops, and Webinars to further this goal.

Methane Challenge Equipment Leaks Continuous Improvement Proposal Webinar
April 8, 2020; 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT

The Methane Challenge Program held a webinar to discuss a recently published Continuous Improvement proposal that would create an initial BMP commitment option for Equipment Leaks. During this webinar, Methane Challenge program staff explained the Continuous Improvement process and Methane Challenge Partner National Fuel Gas discussed details of the proposed BMP to address leakage through isolation and blowdown valves at compressor stations. 

2019 Natural Gas STAR & Methane Challenge Workshop
November 4-6, 2019 - Pittsburgh, PA

Methane Challenge and Natural Gas STAR partners, in all segments, met with oil and natural gas experts, researchers, academics and other industry stakeholders to discuss voluntary methane emission reductions and ongoing developments.
