Detailed Project Information
Description: The mission of Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful is to improve the quality of life in the Macon-Bibb community through litter prevention, recycling, and beautification. The goal of the Clean Streets Matter Initiative is to more effectively identify and clean up litter and other debris, as well as engage residents to host neighborhood cleanups. These efforts will help to reduce the amount of trash entering our stormwater system.

Current Project Outcomes: Since the Clean Streets Matter Initiative was implemented, there have been over 300 neighborhood cleanups, over 500 illegal dumps cleared, and 5,608,281 pounds of debris removed from illegal dumps. Also our street sweeping went from 451.2 miles of street
