How it Works

A quick primer on using the Managing and Transforming Waste Streams Tool.

1. Customize the List

   Customize the list to your community's priorities according to qualitative rankings for diversion potential, upstream impacts, and various implementation factors.

2. Sort by Sector

   Sort the list alphabetically by sector.

3. Search

   Search by keyword for policy/program, sector, or material.

4. Hide

   Hide from view measures already being implemented in your community.

5. Highlight

   Highlight measures you would like to prioritize for further scoping.

6. View Examples

   Access implementation examples from other communities and our online resources (online version of the tool only), including:

   • Featured Examples and Resources
     • Examples and Resources (#1—50)
     • Examples and Resources (#51—100)

7. Save

   Print or copy & paste your customized list for use in a planning document.
