Detailed Project Information

Description: The project aims to help expand what is recycled beyond what is normally collected curbside by establishing a system of drop-offs locations to facilitate the participation and a network of community partners and participants. The main goals of the project are to: 1) Research and develop up to 15 drop-off locations throughout Brevard County, 2) Engage up to 12 community partners to support our program, and 3) Create a strategy for spreading the word about this important resource and gather adopters.

Project Partners: None identified.

Current Project Outcomes: Number of drop-off locations and community partners; total weight collected.

Long-Term Project Outcomes: Cover the long area that our county represents to offer the option to all Brevard residents to participate and be able to recycle more, diverting more waste from our landfills and keeping trash out of our waterways.
