The current version of both the format file and EDP can be found here. To check your version: The format file version is displayed in the status bar in EDP.

2. How do I update the Valid Values Reference Manual tables to include additional information such as CAS numbers, analytes, prep method, etc.?
Please check the online link or your own references for CAS numbers, if the CAS number is not provided in the Valid Values Reference Manual table A15-17 please request one using the online form.

3. What is the Data Provider Code?
The data provider code is an abbreviated company code. For references to company code, lab code and data provider code look in valid value tables: A23 and A17 of the Valid Values Reference Manual. If your company code is not available, please request one using the online form.

Please refer to the documentation section 2.11 in the Basic Manual “Submitting Your EDD to EPA”, or in section 2.12 in the Comprehensive Manual "Submitting Your EDD to EPA."

Refer to the standalone EDP user’s guide, section 2.6 Finding and resolving error or 2.8 Error Resolution.

6. How do I report QC samples such as field blank, lab blank, equipment blank, trip blank, etc.?
All samples must have a unique sample code. The sample type needs to be FB, LB, EB, TB etc, in order for the sys_loc_code to be null.

Potassium: when load the value in excel, but it appears to be a date, add the ‘ in front of the value to eliminate the error.

If the detect flag = No, Result type = TRG (TARGET, REGULAR RESULT), TIC (TENTATIVELY IDENTIFIED COMPOUND) or SC (SPIKED COMPOUNDS), then the Reporting Detection Limit is required.
