Regional Screening Levels for Dioxin

This sections includes links to Regional Screening Levels (RSLs) for dioxin pages. Specific resources are provided below.

  • Regional screening table
    • Default non-cancer and cancer RSLs for dioxin: These RSLs are based on default (i.e. non-adjusted) exposure factors and current cancer and non-cancer toxicity values for 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-para-dioxin (TCDD).
    • Information on site-specific non-cancer and cancer RSLs for dioxin (calculator ). This link provides calculations for developing site-specific regional screening levels for dioxin, based on site-specific exposure factors and current cancer and non-cancer toxicity values for.

For a discussion on how screening levels can be used to develop PRGs and ultimately cleanup goals, see Risk Assessments toxicity values for dioxin.

Supporting Documents for Dioxin Soil Cleanup Levels

Provides a review of foreign nations’ evaluation of the toxicity of dioxin and their established concentration values in soil that are intended to provide protection to humans who may be exposed under residential or commercial/industrial land uses.
