How to Report Annually for Fuel and Fuel Additive Registrations (FFARs)
Starting January 1, 2021, fuel manufacturers and importers no longer need to submit the Report for Motor Vehicle Gasoline or Diesel Fuel (Form 3520-12Q) on a quarterly basis – this report will be required on an annual basis, with the first annual report for 2021 due in early 2022. The new report form for the annual motor vehicle gasoline or diesel fuel report will be available later in 2021 and will likely be combined with Form 3520-12A, annual report for motor vehicle gasoline or diesel fuel.
The final “Quarterly report for motor vehicle gasoline or diesel fuel” Form 3520-12Q for the 4th quarter of 2020 is due for fuel manufacturers and importers by March 31st, 2021. There will be no motor vehicle gasoline or diesel fuel report form 3520-12Q due in June 2021.
