  • San Francisco Bay Delta Action Plan: Water Quality Challenges in the San Francisco Bay/ Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary (pdf) (853.58 KB, August 2012)
EPA developed this Action Plan after assessing the effectiveness of current regulatory mechanisms designed to protect water quality in the San Francisco Bay Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary and its tributaries. It concludes that Clean Water Act programs are not adequately protecting the Bay Delta Estuary and recommends actions to restore water quality for aquatic species protection using existing EPA authorities and resources, and actions for the State Water Resources Control Board.
