EPA

  • Indicator View Mapper
    This tool provides insight into observed changes in temperature, precipitation, storms, floods, and droughts.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

  • National Risk Index (NRI)
    The National Risk Index (NRI) is an online resource from FEMA that analyzes risk factors for 18 natural hazards by defining risk as the product of the average economic loss in dollars resulting from natural hazards each year.
  • Preliminary Flood Hazard Data
    Preliminary flood hazard data provide the public an early look at the projected risk to flood hazards. Preliminary data may include: new or revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports, and FIRM Databases.
  • National Flood Hazard Layer
    National Flood Hazard Layer is a geospatial database made from effective flood maps and Letters of Map Change (LOMC).
  • Hazus
    Hazus is a nationally available methodology that models potential losses from earthquakes/tsunamis, floods and hurricanes. Hazus uses GIS technology to estimate physical, economic, and impacts of these hazards.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

  • NOAA Atlas
    Provides precipitation frequency estimates and associated information.
    • NOAA Atlas 15 is currently being updated and will be the first iteration that will develop precipitation frequency estimates for the entire United States and its territories. For more information, see NOAA Atlas 15 Information webpage.
