EPA Webinar: NREL’s Procurement Analysis Tool for Renewable Energy Buyers

On November 9, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Green Power Partnership (GPP) hosted a webinar highlighting the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s (NREL) launch of a procurement analysis tool (PAT) to aid commercial and industrial buyers with procuring voluntary renewable energy. PAT is an interactive, web-based tool providing users with information on available renewable energy procurement options, based on a few key questions including location data, energy goals, and a few filtering questions. The resulting information provides details of green power supply options available in response to the answered questions.
This webinar walked attendees through the tool and provided some examples and scenarios of how the tool can be used to assess renewable energy options and the type of data it provides. NREL is also looking for interested Green Power Partners to serve as beta testers on the tool.
