Green Power Partnership Basic Program Information
The Green Power Partnership is a voluntary program that encourages organizations to use green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with conventional electricity use. The Partnership currently has more than 1,700 Partner organizations voluntarily using billions of kilowatt-hours of green power annually. Partners include a wide variety of leading organizations such as Fortune 500® companies; small and medium sized businesses; local, state, and federal governments; and colleges and universities.

Program Success Metrics: Annually, EPA evaluates its voluntary programs and reviews the environmental outcomes and outputs associated with engagement with these programs. This page provides some information about the most recent program review.
The Green Power Partnership Overview is a one page document that provides a brief overview of the Green Power Partnership. It includes information about how to join the Partnership, benefits available to Partners, and examples of how to promote your organization's green power leadership.
The Partnership Agreement is available in both MS Excel and PDF formats. Organizations must complete the Agreement and either email or fax it to EPA to join the Partnership. Partners need to provide company information—including a primary and communications contact information—as well as basic information about their green power use.
The Partnership Requirements document provides detailed information about the Green Power Partnership's program requirements, including organization, resource, and product eligibility; minimum purchase requirements; new renewables requirements; vintage requirements; participation definitions; and reporting requirements.
