State of the U.S. Voluntary Green Power Market

On February 23, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Green Power Partnership (GPP) hosted its annual State of the Voluntary Green Power Market webinar. Experts from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and EPA discussed the status of the voluntary green power market and trends in green power sales and customer participation rates, with updated information for 2021. The webinar also featured a deeper dive into specific green power supply options, including utility green power programs, community choice aggregations, renewable energy certificates, and power purchase agreements.
