Air Emissions Inventory Improvement Program (EIIP)

While these documents were developed to describe the latest emission inventory approaches available at the time, they have not been able to be updated since original publication and in some cases have become out of date.  In many cases the approaches are still current and should be considered the equivalent to federal guidance.  In other cases such as on-road mobile sources, biogenic sources, fires, and some nonpoint stationary source categories, newer approaches have been developed as part of the National Emissions Inventory (NEI) program.  In these cases, the NEI approaches are more updated and should be considered the most current.  Additionally, newer published guidance such as that developed specifically for State Implementation Plan (SIP) purposes or mobile sources supersedes the information provided in these documents.
