Our History

WaterSense officially launched June 12, 2006, in San Antonio, TX, at the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference & Exposition.  Since then, WaterSense and its partners have helped countless communities, organizations, and individuals learn more about why it's important to save water and how to take easy steps to be part of the solution.

“Americans today are embracing products that are fuel efficient and energy efficient – and now there will be products that are water efficient.”
