Find out how EPA Brownfields Grant recipients are transforming properties across the country to improve and protect the environment, boost the local economy and enhance communities now and for years to come. * 

Brownfield Success Stories are completed projects which highlight the accomplishments of EPA Brownfield grant recipients nationwide. On this page, explore the transformative projects that converted once neglected sites to boost local economies and enhance quality of life for nearby residents. Please keep in mind, the map showcases just a sample of these success stories, not a comprehensive list of all brownfields projects.

Click a pin on the map to find out the project's description, year of completion and type of reuse. Click the "View" link in the pop-up window to view the success story, which provides a more detailed summary of the project. Viewers can also filter the type of reuse by selecting the check boxes to the right of of the map or by clicking the layers button and clicking on the eye icon. You may also search by state/ territory or by region in the table below the map.

Need tips on how to take high-quality photo, video or audio of your brownfields project? There are plenty of opportunities to create exciting content for your projects.

EPA Brownfield Grant funds are not used for redevelopment of sites assessed or cleaned up with Brownfields funds, and projections for future reuse and redevelopment of sites and anticipated benefits are subject to change based on local conditions.
